Intec/Z connect – The Trade Show Duo Will be Held Exclusively Online in 2021

Virtual exhibitor showroom, online conference programme and digital networking: The trade show duo Intec and Z will take place from 2 to 3 March 2021 exclusively online under the motto "Intec/Z connect". As the organiser, Leipziger Messe was responsible for this decision. The current pandemic situation and the associated restrictions make it impossible to reliably plan a physical or even a hybrid event.

Intec/Z connect will provide the German metalworking and supply industry with the urgently needed platform to facilitate discussions within the sector and set trends for the future despite the continuing Corona pandemic. At the heart of the event will be an exhibitors’ product presentation in the form of a virtual showroom, as well as an online congress and a digital networking platform. The programme, which addresses the current and burning questions in the sector, is currently being designed by Leipziger Messe.

"Due to the current pandemic situation and the associated restrictions, it is not possible to hold Intec and Z safely as a physical event. We deeply regret this development, but also recognise the key significance of the trade show duo for the entire sector. By taking the trade show online, we are able to satisfy the requirements of our partners, exhibitors and visitors whilst simultaneously ensuring the safety of all participants", explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe.

Details on the programme of Intec/Z connect will be announced in the coming weeks. The next scheduled edition of the Intec and Z in its traditional form will take place from 7 to 10 March 2023.
